Dave has been dancing for over 14 years, competing and winning awards in country western, west coast swing, and hustle competition. He began competing in the UCWDC as both a pro-am and classic couples competitor, expanding his training to include ballroom and hustle. Dave teaches dance in Idaho as well as the Detroit area and has been praised by students for having a teaching style that makes it easy to learn. He is an avid dancer who promotes and supports dancing wherever he goes. |
| Valarie began taking ballroom dance lessons at an Arthur Murray Dance Studio in 1995. A few months later she began Arthur Murray’s teacher training program and became a Certified Ballroom Instructor in 1996. Valarie has competed in Pro-Am competitions as both the amateur and as the professional. She teaches american style ballroom and latin, west coast swing, and nightclub two-step, with her main focus being on the social aspects of dance. She currently teaches at Dance Elite Ballroom Studio in West Bloomfield, as well as other venues in the area. |

Just got back from a great weekend of dancing at Swing City Chicago. I competed in my first Intermediate WCS J&J and am happy to report that I made finals. Lots of fun dancers and great pros kept the event in high gear all weekend long. Definitely an event I will plan to return to! |

Dave has earned enough WDSC (World Swing Dance Council) points to move him into the Intermediate division. Look for him at your next swing or country competition! |
